School for Social Management

Establishing the profession of social management through training of managers from various organizations and levels and creation of a proactive alumni community.

The social sector plays a crucial role in Israeli society. The managers of social organizations are required to function in complex, uncertain and dynamic environments, while coping with issues that are unique to civil society. In order to maximize the impact of these organizations, it is vital to advance social management as a distinct profession, and to give managers the skills, tools, support and networks they need to succeed.

The School for Social Management, in partnership with Yad Hanadiv and the Federation of Greater Toronto, is a center for professional development of managers in social organizations. It pools the knowledge of Rashi and other bodies in the area of leadership training, using tools and concepts that are adapted to the new world of work and to the social field. Its uniqueness lies in the combination of theory and practice, which builds the capacity to lead in a wide range of situations.

The School designs and operates specialized training programs for top and middle level management, which are tailored to the needs and characteristics of each target audience. At the same time, it develops modules that can be put together to suit specific groups, providing quick and flexible response to emerging needs and opportunities.

The school programs:

  • Reisheet – for senior managers
  • Bareket – for middle management
  • Odem – mentoring for first-time managers
  • Hoshen – for managers in extended reserve duty
  • Leshem – for CEOs (to be opened in 2026)
  • Alumni network – ongoing training and collaboration among graduates
